From where did the name football originate?

Answered By Hadyn Falk, Editor

Base on its history, it was the Greeks who had first played the football called harpaston. In United States it was called foot ball and has a simple form. They use a blown-up bladder in Virginia in the year of 1609.

Most modern type of football is being played in the Europe. A more popular sport evolves from this form of sports this is the soccer sport. Football got its name because originally the hands cannot be used in the sport and it is only the feet that is allowed. Then rugby football came into action where in the hands are allowed to be used. American football had been widely influenced by this sports and it is known through out the world.
