Why is football so popular in America?

Answered By Hadyn Falk, Editor

The popularity of football in America began to rise because of the NFL who has instituted its first player draft in the year of 1936. The ruggedness of the game and the mental aspect making the plays makes the game popular with many men. This is some kind of an outlet for their aggressiveness and their cunning abilities.

Most of the popular teams are the Chicago Bears, Chicago cardinals, Detroit Lions, Green bay Packers and the New York Little Giants. The popularity of this game was halted because of World War II, but in present days football has regained its respect and popularity.
